Arabian royal not punished for a murder

Almost three years back, in 2018, a journalist named Jamal Khashoggi was murdered. After an investiagion it turned out that he was killed on command of Arabia's crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman. The prince hasn't even been charged yet and there weren't any sanctions for what he did. The White House stands by its decision on not to directly sanction the royal. That caused a growth of criticism through the people. Many human rights groups and some senior democrats started to express their disagreement on the news that the White House spokesperson stood by te move not to target the crown prince in an interview on Sunday. The White Hause also says that they don't want to weaken their relationship with Saudis as they have five military bases there. In my opinion a murder should be punished no matter who did it and at what position they are. The crown prince should be put to court and charged as a normal person, no one special. Everyone are equal before the law and the fact ...

Protests in Myanmar escalate

Yet again, tens of thousands of people in Myanmar took to the streets on Sunday in defiance of the military coup. Many were expecting it to be another day of protesting, but no one could expect such actions to occur. Many witnesses have described Myanmar's security forces open fire on protesters, killing a young man and a teenager in the streets of Mandalay. More than 30 people were injured in that crackdown. The police was supported with frontline troops to break up the crowds. This valiation was condemned by the UN, France, Britain and Singapore. What's more, Facebook announced it had deleted the military's main page. In my opinion, such events shouldn't take place nowadays and I think it is duty of every government on Earth to stop the military in Myanmar and let the people have same rights as people have in other countries. I'm sorry for the people in Myanmar and I admire them as they have the courage to go out every day to protest even if it is not safe for the...

Archeologic discoveries of the iron age.

Last week there has been made a great discovery about the domestic life in the iron age. When archeologists started excavating a landmark in Oxfordshire, they where expecting to find something, because the area was occupied for over 3000 years. They weren't expecting to find iron age settlement. What they found was far more than they wanted to find. It was a dozen roundhouses dating form 400BC to 100BC and an enormous Roman villa built in the late third century. All of that was possible thanks to Earth Trust, a enviromental charity that cares for any evidence of past life. What's more, the archeologists found a Roman cementary with fourty graves and a stone-built corn-drying ovens. They found many personal items in a high state of preservation, which shouldn't be suprising, as the discoveries have been made right on the foot of an enormous Roman hillfort. The specialists say that the settlement can continue well into the landscape, beyond the area the archeologists have se...

That was the first arrest of a foreigner since Monday. Internet access has been blocked for 24 hours from Saturday afternoon in attempt to stop protests, but demonstators managed to organize and now every day tens of thousands demonstrators pour on the streets in many cities in order to protest. They vow not to stop protests until their democratic leaders are released and democracy retu...

My goal for this term and how I am planning to achieve that

What I think is my problem in English is speaking for a long amount of time. I start to get nervous when I talk for more than 2 minutes straight. My grammar starts to get worse. I start to use basic words, as I am afraid to make a mistake. I think it is useful to be able to give longer speaches and I want to get better at doing that this term. I have some ideas how to improve in this area. One of them is to start speaking in English to my parents. It wouldn't be useful only for me, they would also benefit from it, as we would start speaking smoother and our vocabulary would start to get better. I could also start recording myself reading my weekly blogs. That exercise would help me find my mistakes and eliminate them. I think I will try reading some english texts loudly so I can get comfortable with speaking in english for at least 5 mintutes straight. I think this three exercises will be enough to improve my speaking level to the point I want. I'm curious how much my speaking ...
