Yet again, tens of thousands of people in Myanmar took to the streets on Sunday in defiance of the military coup. Many were expecting it to be another day of protesting, but no one could expect such actions to occur. Many witnesses have described Myanmar's security forces open fire on protesters, killing a young man and a teenager in the streets of Mandalay. More than 30 people were injured in that crackdown. The police was supported with frontline troops to break up the crowds. This valiation was condemned by the UN, France, Britain and Singapore. What's more, Facebook announced it had deleted the military's main page.
In my opinion, such events shouldn't take place nowadays and I think it is duty of every government on Earth to stop the military in Myanmar and let the people have same rights as people have in other countries. I'm sorry for the people in Myanmar and I admire them as they have the courage to go out every day to protest even if it is not safe for them.
This just goes to show how useless international diplomacy is if they can't stop this kind of violence, just like they do nothing about corrupt regimes in Africa.
