Working out with supplements vs without them

Many people often wonder how big impact taking supplements can have. In this post I'm not mentioning any steroids, just supplements as creatine, pre-workouts or whey protein. The difference can easily be seen,as taking pre-workout supplement can basically determine on how your workout goes. First of all, you get the energy needed for making additional reps, e.g. 2 or 3 per set, which drastically increases muscle and strength progress. Taking supplements also can change one's attitude to working out and motivate them to train harder. Moving on to whey protein, there comes a question : Can we build muscle without it? Of course, as we can provide protein needed for building muscle from our meals, but when we need additional protein that we simply are not able to provide from normal meals, whey protein comes to our aid. And taking whey protein doesn't just come down to making a shake and drinking it when we want, as we can maximize muscle gains by timing of their consumption. The best time to drink protein shakes or protein bars is short time after our workout(normally to about 30 minutes after), as it helps us rebuild our damaged muscle tissue(as it always is after a workout) and even grow more of it. Coming to a conclusion, gaining muscle and making progress in our workouts can be done without supplements, but they surely help us make progress faster and build more muscle.

Dangers hidden behind taking supplements

Although taking diatery supplements can have a very good effects on our health and our performance during training, we can't be ignorant to the fact that by midless use of supplements can badly affect our health. Taking supplements is not so simple as many people could think, as overdosing or mixing wrong supplements can bring much harm to our body. A great example is a vitamin all of us know - vitamin D. Too much of this vitamin can harm our kidneys(kidney stones) or cause muscle pain. Overdosing calcium isn't a good idea either. Calcium is connected with vitamin D, as if we take too much calcium without adequate vitamin D to help absorb it, the extra calcium settles in the arteries instead of the bones. Many specialists say, that excessive usage of creatine can result in dehydration as well as kidney damage. What's more, it can worsen the symptoms of people who suffer with asthma. Although taking supplements can improve our performance and our health, overdosing it may h...

Why do people often think that the past was better than the present or future ?

People are often scared of the future because of various reasons. One of them is the fact that we always see the past as better because of our childhood and times when we had less responsibilities and were able to meet friends more often. Other is that people are scared of what is unknown, and, the future is always unknown. We can't predict what is going to happen even in an hour. What's more, we think the past is better that the present is that we remember only the things we want to remember, which means we mostly remember the good things instead of those which are bad. In a sum, we think the past was better than the present or the future because we think about our childhood, the good things from the past and we are afraid of the future.

Ottoman Empire and its culture, technological advancement

My sources :  https://www.history.com/topics/middle-east/ottoman-empire                           http://factsanddetails.com/asian/cat65/sub424/entry-5259.html  There are many factors which led to the raise of Ottomans. Their country was ruled firmly and had straight political goal - to get more powerful. Ottomans had a uniform law system and welcomed different types of art, literature and most importantly, religion.  Some may say that as they were muslim, they didn't accept any types of culture and religion different than theirs, but it's not true. They used a millet system, which gave non-muslim inhabitants a limited amount of power in their minority groups, but still under the Ottoman rule. There are many examples of Ottoman wealth and power gained by conquering so many lands in Europe, but in my opinion the best and the most magificent is the Topkapi palace which was the dwelling place for Otto...
